The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
